Content rules
Last updated 2026-10-04
These rules apply to games, game pages, pictures, posts, profiles, comments, reviews, community posts, game jams, and the names you give trophies and score tables.
Never allowed
- Anything illegal, including content that is illegal where our service is run or where you live.
- Malware and anything that tries to harm a player's device, steal data, mine cryptocurrency without consent, or reach outside the game.
- Sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualises or endangers children. We report it to the authorities.
- Adult sexual content. Games here are rated for everyone, 13+ or 16+. Pornographic or sexually explicit material is not accepted.
- Sexual or degrading content of real people, including faked images, voices or likenesses of real people made without their consent.
- Hateful content: attacks on people because of their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Harassment and threats against any person.
- Real-money gambling: games where players stake money or things of money value for a chance at a prize.
- Famous characters, brands and works used without permission. This includes AI-generated copies of well-known characters, logos, music and voices. Parody and commentary may be allowed by law; a copy with the name changed is not.
- Mass-produced, low-effort uploads: many near-identical or empty games uploaded in bulk, or pages whose main purpose is to send people elsewhere.
- Scams and deception: fake giveaways, phishing, misleading download buttons, false AI labels.
Allowed with care
- Violence is allowed when the age rating matches it. Extreme, realistic cruelty presented for its own sake is not.
- Crypto and NFT games are allowed. They must say clearly on the page what they connect to, must not promise profit, and must not ask for wallet keys or seed phrases.
- Games that connect to outside services (for example an AI service) are allowed when the page says so and why.
Honest labels
Every game shows how AI was used in its code, art, music, voice, story, translation and video, and whether it uses AI while running. Fill this in truthfully.
What happens when a rule is broken
- Anyone with an account can report a game, a review, a comment, a community post, a game jam or a profile. A person on our team reads every report.
- Reports of malware, illegal content or content involving minors are reviewed first, within 24 hours. A game that several people report for one of these is hidden automatically until it has been reviewed.
- Depending on how serious it is, we may dismiss the report, warn the person, hide the content, or suspend the account. Every decision is recorded.
- The person affected is told the reason and can appeal within 30 days. Another look is taken by a person, and the decision is undone if it was wrong.
- Copyright complaints from rights holders follow the formal process on the Copyright page.
