Collections, picks for you, and ideas
Making lists of games, how the For you shelf is chosen, and asking for games and features.
Collections
A collection is a list of games you put together, with a short note on each if you like.
- Make one on the Collections page, or from a game's page with Add to a collection.
- A collection is private until you make it public. Your account must be 3 days old for that.
- A public collection has its own page, appears on your profile and on the pages of the games in it, and can be followed.
- Only games that are public in the store show up in a collection. If a game is taken down or made private, it drops out by itself.
- Titles, descriptions and notes are shown as plain text. A collection that breaks the rules can be reported and hidden by our team.
For you
When you are signed in, the home page shows games picked for you. The picks come from simple rules, worked out when you open the page:
- the genres and tags of games you played, liked, saved, wishlisted or bought,
- new games from creators you follow,
- games your friends liked.
Games you made, already played or disliked are left out. Nothing is bought or sold to make these picks, and no profile of you is kept.
Ideas
On the Ideas page you can say which game you would like someone to make, or what the site should do next, and vote for other people's ideas.
- Posting needs an account that is 3 days old; voting does not.
- You have one vote per idea and can take it back.
- Our team answers ideas by marking them Planned, Done or Not planned, with a short note. You are told when yours is answered.
- A vote is not a promise. It tells us, and creators looking for something to build, what people want.
